Challenge
Many travel businesses struggle with the manual process of setting ‘Stop Sale’ - blocking room availability for specific dates. Traditional methods require analysing information from DMCs, hotels, and contractors, manually entering the data, and managing and controlling it in reservation systems, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. Lack of precise control over availability might result in overbooking or missed booking opportunities.
Solution
Resabee Travel Tech introduced a new feature, the AI Room Stop Sale, which automates the whole process of communication with contractors using artificial intelligence. To build this new feature, we used Gemini, an AI model from Google. It perfectly aligns with the technical requirements and underscores our ongoing partnership with Google. The feature:
- Recognises hotel in the reservation system database.
- Analyses notifications containing ‘Stop Sale’ information and automatically extracts, analyses and process key data.
- Integrates with the Resabee Booking system, data is transmitted via API interfaces, allowing 'Stop Sale' information to be retrieved and entered.
- Automatically applies ‘Stop Sale’ based on processed data, considering dates, room types, and distribution channels.
- Sends notifications to Travel Product Managers with a summary of actions and the ability to edit or cancel them with one click.
We have already implemented the solution to one of our key partners, ITAKA, and we’re in the process of introducing it to another partner, Čedok.
